I swear to fucking god I played brilliantly tonight, but I got coolered every time I got heads up, and busted on the bubble in nearly every fucking game. Sheesh I’m pretty annoyed about tonight.

I know it’s not a huge loss, but honestly, the manner in which I lost some of the hands tonight beggers belief. I was going to post a couple but then I remembered that bad beats are officially the most boring thing ever, so just takemy word for it… I didn’t deserve the result.

Easter Bank Holiday for us Brits, which involves a 4 day weekend and in my case 4 days of stupidity.

Quick summary…

Thurs night
Went for a meal at Croma in Leeds, nice pizza, good wine, then round the bars of Leeds and onto some random indie nightclub, last point of memory was downing a bunch of Jagerbombs… woke up with a bruised face (?) and an empty wallet, amusing night!

Friday
Drove to a friends in Mytholroyd, random village in the countryside then went upto Heptonstall, an even more random village on top of a hill to watch the Egg Pace, this basically involved grown men dressing up in weird costumes dancing around in a very Wicker Man-esque fashion… all very odd, but fun, and we obviously got drunk.

Friday night a bunch of us went back to my friends and had an all night party which got very very messy, fun stuff.

Saturday
Discovered some fucker had broken into my car and stolen my stereo over night!!! Not what I wanted at all, had to hang around and deal with the police in a very messy state, was really struggling to deal with things! Eventually got home feeling pretty pissed off (damage to the car will be v.expensive, and simply no point claiming on stupid insurance). Stayed in that night feeling ill, had a couple of beers and a chinese take away.

Sunday
Met up in Leeds with a friend at lunchtime (Waaay too early to be drinking when it’s like the 4th day in a row!), pub lunch then sat down to drink our way through the afternoons football, Liverpool were rubbish (Mascherano is a dumb ass for that sending off), Arsenal Chelsea was pretty boring, although I as pretty drunk by that point.

Decided to go home early evening as I was tired and in the mood to relax and finally play some poker, and it went fairly well. Only a small session, but results as below…

YEP, the drinking continues!!!
Had a lush meal with my family in the afternoon, completely stuffed myself, then went out into Leeds again for a drink with a lady friend who we will call K. Quiet drink with K turned into a bit of a session hitting a few bars and drinking cocktails and foreign beers, as is the case when man woman and alcohol meet, myself and K ended up getting somewhat touchy feely and ended up back at her city centre apartment… oops! Fun fun, left her place this morning as she had to go to work, and now it’s Tuesday and I’m sat typing this… Jeez Louise what a mental weekend. Thankfully I had the genius fore-sight to book today as a holiday.

Anyways, thats pretty much my partying done for awhile I reckon, gonna try put in quite a few hours at the poker table this week!

Wow… been awhile yeah?

I really really can’t be bothered summarising the last (counts…) 8 months(!), however in short, went to Vegas, had an awesome time, busted most of my roll on my car and holiday, spent a couple of months moping about then started pretty much from scratch again.

Aaaanyways, I’m back and kinda enjoying my poker again, made just over $2k in the last 2 weeks which is pretty decent, had some crazy swings which I’ll get to later and picked up some bad habits (related).

Well first off, I moved sites, I love Pokerstars support/customer service/game selection, however since the UGIEA and Party becoming a no go for Yanks the games became noticeably tougher, with lots of "newbies" showing excellent Sharkscope stats. So unfortunately it made sense to switch , I’m now playing primarily on one of the Ipoker skins.

One of the two big down sides to this is that it takes an age to cashout, like one week compared Stars couple of hours, I’m sure in the long run this is good, it will stop me randomly plundering my poker account for pointless frivolities, however there are times when I would obviously like instant access to my money!

The second down side is that this skin has a "casino" attached, now those of you who know me will understand I completely dislike betting against the house, however I do like a drink and sometimes poker requires too much concentration after a drink, so OBVIOUSLY blackjack makes sense… ermm, kind of. I dropped $300 tonight on Blackjack, which is pretty gross, however I am up in total, but def not playing again (…… we’ll wait and see on that one).

Anyways, poker… I’ve been reading a lot recently, probably studying the game as much as I did when I first started and it has really helped, my confidence is really high and this is reflecting in the results. I’m pretty much going to use this blog now as a means of keeping myself honest with my results and performance so will be posting at least after every session with my full winnings/loses.

At the end of each of those sessions I played Blackjack, winning $200, $200 and losing $300 respectively. So I’ve been pretty busy of late!
